Frequently Asked Questions: OE 13235048-00
How do I know this is the left side and not the right?
This listing is for the left front door trim strip, OE number 13235048-00. Before you order, take a look at the old strip you are removing and check for a stamped or moulded number on the back or underside. Match that against 13235048-00, or against the alternative reference EM2E-5402710-00BX shown here. If the numbers line up, you have the correct side. If you cannot find a number, take a clear photo of the part and its mounting points to compare against this one.
Whats the difference between the genuine and aftermarket versions of this trim strip?
No, only one version appears here, made by the genuine maker, BYD, and listed as new. There is no second tier shown to compare against on this page. If you are looking for an alternative to this specific part, the quote route on this page lets you ask about it directly, quoting the OE number 13235048-00 shown above. That keeps your question tied to the exact part fitted to the left front door of your BYD Dolphin, front position, left side.
What if the number on my old part is different from this one?
If the number on your old part does not match 13235048-00, treat that as a mismatch rather than a small variation. Compare the photographs on this page against the part you have removed, looking at the shape and the fixing points as well as the printed number. If anything looks different, do not proceed on the assumption it is close enough. Take the extra minute to check properly before you place the order.
How does a part this size get delivered?
The packaging details for this trim strip are shown on this page. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. Given that timescale, have the old part in front of you before you order, so the side, the fixings and the fit are all confirmed while you still have easy access to compare them. The shipping cost is confirmed with your quote.
What is this trim strip made of and does that affect fitting?
It is plastic, moulded to shape rather than a flexible strip. That means it will only sit correctly on the left front door of a BYD Dolphin, so check the side and position on your own car before fitting, and confirm the fixings that hold your existing strip in place, since a plastic moulding will not adapt to a different mounting or a different edge profile.
Does this door trim come in piano black or do I need to paint it?
This trim strip is supplied in piano black. If you are checking it against a listing that shows a different code, look for the alternate reference EM2E-5402710-00BX, since this part is also listed under that number and confirming it matches will save a wrong order. Check the OE number 13235048-00 on your old trim before you buy, so you know you are matching the correct side and finish for your Dolphin.
