About This Part
Left tailgate hinge assembly for the BYD Seagull, OE 13608000-00 (reference ELA-6306100A). This zinc-plated steel hinge pivots the tailgate on the body, with two bolt-through mounting eyes, a machined pivot barrel and a stud on the lower bracket. It fits the Seagull, Seagull Glory and Seagull Smart Driving built 2023 to 2026. As the left-hand boot lid hinge it is the mirror of the right unit, so confirm the side before ordering. Correct OE geometry keeps the tailgate gaps even and the latch aligned.

Frequently Asked Questions: OE 13608000-00
Is this hinge for the left or right side of the tailgate?
This one is listed for the left side only. Tailgate hinges are handed, so a left hinge will not line up with the mounting points on the right. If you are not certain which side yours is on, stand behind the car facing the tailgate and check which side the hinge sits on when the tailgate is open. Where you are still unsure, use the quote route on this page and give the details there so the fitment can be confirmed before you order.
What if the number on my old hinge does not match this one?
A different OE number usually means a different hinge, not a mistake. Do not fit this one on the strength of the vehicle alone. Take the old hinge off, or at least have it in front of you, and read the number stamped or printed on it before you order. If it does not match 13608000-00 or the also listed number ELA-6306100A, hold off ordering and check the number again, since a mismatch here means it is the wrong hinge for your car.
What is the left tailgate hinge made of?
This hinge is metal, fitted on the outside of the car. Before ordering, look at your own tailgate and confirm you need the left side hinge at the rear, since left and right are not interchangeable. Check how the old hinge is fixed in place, its position on the tailgate and which side it sits on, so you order the correct one. If you are unsure which side is left on your car, check from the driver's seat looking forward.
