Frequently Asked Questions: OE 13390868-00
What is the difference between the two quality tiers for this bumper cover?
This one is listed as Original/Genuine, made by BYD. Before you order, check the old bumper cover on the car for its condition and any damage around the mounting points, since that tells you whether the part in front of you matches what is being described here. If anything looks different from your original, hold off and confirm against the fitment table on this page before placing the order.
The number on my old bumper does not match 13390868-00, what should I do?
A different number on your old panel does not automatically mean this is the wrong part, and it does not automatically mean it is right either. The safest step is to compare your old bumper panel directly against the photographs on this page, checking the overall shape and the fixing points before you order. This rear panel is black plastic, new, and listed under OE 13390868-00, so match on appearance rather than assuming from the number alone.
How will a part this size be delivered?
Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. The packaging details are shown on this page. Before you order, open the fitment table on this page and confirm your Dolphin matches the listing. The shipping cost is confirmed with your quote. Before you order, check the number on your old part against OE 13390868-00.
Is this bumper cover made of metal or plastic?
It is moulded in black plastic. If the fitment table on this page does not turn up your BYD Dolphin, search using the alternative reference EM2E-2804111C/92 instead, as this part is also listed under that number. Using either reference gets you to the same cover, so try both before assuming it is not stocked. Once you have confirmed the match, check the OE number on your old part reads 13390868-00 before you order.
Does this bumper panel need painting to match my car?
Finished in black plastic and supplied new, this panel has no further finishing steps described beyond that. Since nothing here confirms a match by look alone, the surer step is to take the model and the model year exactly as printed on your registration document and check them against the details on this page. That is the information this listing depends on, so have it to hand before you order rather than after the part arrives.
Where on the car does this panel fit?
The upper section of the rear bumper is the main body panel fitted to the exterior of the car, rather than a small trim piece or corner section. If you are not certain this is the panel you need, rather than a separate lower section or a trim strip, use the quote route on this page and describe what you can see on the car. That way someone can confirm which panel matches before you commit to an order.
