About This Part
Rear Tow Hook Cover (Right) cap for the BYD Tang L, listed under OE 16277317-00 and SREA-2804133. The textured black plastic flap snaps into the rear bumper and hides the towing eye socket, held by a small tether so it cannot be dropped. It fits the Tang L EV 2024-2026 and Tang L DM 2024-2026. Swap in this tow eye cover when the original is scratched, faded or lost, so the bumper reads clean and colour-keyed again.

Frequently Asked Questions: OE 16277317-00
Is this the right-hand cover, and how do I tell which one I need?
It is. This cover is the right-hand one, and it sits at the rear of the car, so the left-hand cover is a different item with its own OE number. Stand behind the car looking forward and the right side is the one this cover belongs to. If your bumper has an opening on one side only, work from where the missing cover was rather than from the part you have in your hand. When in doubt, send a photograph of the rear bumper and its label through the quote route.
The cover I removed has another code on it. Does that matter?
It need not. This cover is listed under OE number 16277317-00 and the alternative reference SREA-2804133, and both name this same cover. Turn the cover you removed over and read anything moulded into the inside face before you draw a conclusion from the outside of it. A match against either reference puts you on the right item. A match against neither is worth sending to us as a photograph through the quote route, since a cover is cheap to get wrong and easy to check first.
How long before this cover turns up?
The delivery time is 8 to 25 days, from order to door. A missing tow hook cover is rarely urgent, so most buyers simply let it run rather than chase it. If yours is holding up an inspection or a sale, mention OE number 16277317-00 to us before you buy and we will confirm the current position rather than leaving you to work it out alone.
What is the cover made from?
This cover is plastic, and it is supplied new. The practical point of a plastic moulding is that the clips on the reverse are the part that decides fit. Look at the clip pattern on your old cover and compare it with the images here before buying.
Does this cover come painted to match my bumper?
The colour it comes in is black, so that is the finish you receive. It sits on the outside of the car in the rear bumper, where it is seen at close range by anyone standing behind the vehicle. No paint code and nothing about refinishing come with it, so if your bumper is a body colour rather than black, budget for a painter to take the shade from the car. Offer the cover up dry and look at it against your own bumper before you decide either way.
Is there an Aftermarket option for this cover?
No. This page carries the Original/Genuine cover from BYD and nothing else, because no Aftermarket version exists for OE number 16277317-00. On parts that do have one, both tiers are priced on the page and you pick between them, but that comparison does not exist here. The price shown on this page is therefore the only one for the item. If you want us to go looking for an alternative supply, use the quote route and include the OE number with your car's details.
