Frequently Asked Questions: OE 12593785-00
My old rear screen carries a different reference. Is this the right one?
Probably yes. This rear window glass sits under OE number 12593785-00, and the same line also carries HC-5206020A. One is the catalogue reference and the other is the sort of number you may find printed on the pane itself. Clean the corner of the old screen and read what is there before you decide anything. Should the reference on your car match neither of the two shown here, pass it to us with your model and build year through the quote route and we will confirm the match first.
How soon can this rear screen be with me?
Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. Book your fitter only once you have a firm date from us. If the car cannot be left standing in the meantime, say so when you order and we will tell you which of the two routes applies. The shipping cost is confirmed with your quote.
How is something this large delivered?
The packaging details are shown on this page. It moves as freight, so a delivery is arranged with you rather than left to a driver's round. Make sure there is somewhere flat and dry to stand it on arrival, and that whoever signs for it can look the pane over while the vehicle is still on site. Give us an address where that arrangement can be met.
What is supplied, and what is it made from?
It is made of glass. You are buying the rear pane on its own, so the surround seal and the heating connections on your old screen are not part of this line. If either was damaged when the original went, source it separately against your model under the same category on this site. Store the new pane on edge rather than flat while it waits, and leave it wrapped until the fitter is ready for it. Ask through the quote route if you are unsure what else you need.
Where does this glass sit on the car?
This one mounts on the exterior at the rear of the vehicle, so it is the fixed rear pane in the body aperture rather than a door glass. If the pane you need lifts and lowers with a switch, you are looking at a door listing instead, which is held separately here. Check the position on the car before ordering, then use the fitment table on this page to match your model and build year. Ask us through the quote route if the two look close.
Why is there only one version listed?
This rear screen is offered in the Original/Genuine tier only, made by BYD. No Aftermarket line has been matched to this OE number, so there is nothing to compare it against here and the price shown on this page is for the genuine pane. Your car may also appear against other glass lines, so check the fitment table on this page if you are ordering more than one item. To have us search again for an Aftermarket option, send OE number 12593785-00 through the quote route.
