Frequently Asked Questions: OE 13856227-00
How do I know if this is the right or left tail lamp for my car?
This is listed for the right side, fitted at the rear. Right and left are worked out as if you are sitting in the driver seat looking forward, so right refers to the passenger side on a right hand drive car. If you are not certain which lamp on your car is right and which is left, use the quote route on this page and give your vehicle details so someone can confirm before you order the wrong one.
How do I know this right tail lamp will fit my BYD Song PLUS?
Check the photographs on this page against the old unit you have taken off the car. This assembly is listed for the BYD Song PLUS, right side, rear position, under OE number 13856227-00, also listed as SA3HK-4133020. If your old lamp shows that number, or a match to what is shown in the photographs, you can order with confidence. If you cannot find a number on the old part, use the quote route on this page and someone will help you confirm it before you buy.
What is the difference between the original and aftermarket version of this part?
For this lamp only one version is listed here, rather than separate Original and Aftermarket options, so there is no tier to weigh up on this page. What matters is making sure the part matches your car, and that starts with the number stamped on the part you are taking off. Check that number against the OE number given here, 13856227-00, and if it matches you can go ahead with confidence that you are looking at the right assembly for your car.
The number on my old lamp does not match 13856227-00, what should I do?
If the number on your old lamp does not match 13856227-00, do not fit this lamp without checking further. This part is also listed under the reference SA3HK-4133020, so check your old part against both numbers before deciding either way. The safest step is to open the fitment table on this page and confirm your exact vehicle details there, since that is what confirms whether this listing suits your vehicle.
