Frequently Asked Questions: OE 14464050-00
Why can I not buy this airbag straight away?
This is a safety part, listed here as a starting point rather than something you can simply add to a basket and pay for. Every order is checked by a member of staff before anything is confirmed. Use the quote route on this page, give the OE number 14464050-00, and add the details asked for on that page. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote.
How do I know this is the left side and not the right?
Left is the side covered by this listing, and the two sides are not interchangeable with each other. Do not rely on memory or guesswork to confirm this, since a mistake here means ordering the wrong module. Take the old part out, or ask whoever removed it, and check its position against the side written here before you order. Having the old part in front of you, rather than going from memory, is the surest way to be certain you are matching the correct side.
What is the difference between the genuine and aftermarket version?
For this curtain airbag, only the Original/Genuine version from BYD is listed here. There is no Aftermarket alternative for this part. Check the side, the position and the fixings on your own car against this listing before you buy, since there is no second tier to fall back on. Confirming those details is the main way to avoid an ordering mistake here.
My old airbag number does not match 14464050-00, is this still right?
It might still be right. This part is also listed under the reference SA3HK-5820700-D1, so before ruling it out, check whether the number on your old part matches that one instead. A part can carry more than one valid reference, so a mismatch against the OE number 14464050-00 on its own does not confirm the wrong airbag. If neither number matches what is stamped or printed on your old part, treat this as a different item and keep looking rather than guessing.
Can I fit a curtain airbag module myself?
Before ordering, check the number stamped on the left curtain airbag module you are removing against the OE number 14464050-00 on this page. That confirms it matches before it goes anywhere near the car. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. Match the number, then decide who does the fitting. Before you order, check the number on your old part against OE 14464050-00.
How will a part this size be delivered to me?
The packaging details are shown on this page. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. Have the model and the model year as written on your registration document to hand when you place the order, and use them to check against this listing. Before you order, check the OE number on your old part against the one on this page.
