Frequently Asked Questions: OE 16179316-00
You have selected Aftermarket, the aftermarket alternative to this part. Where an answer below names BYD as the maker or calls the part Original/Genuine, it describes the Original/Genuine version, not this one.
Can I just order this online, or does it need a quote first?
This one goes through a quote rather than a straight checkout. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. Use the quote route on this page and enter the model and model year as shown on your registration document, along with the OE number 16179316-00 if you have the old part to hand. Before you order, check the number on your old part against OE 16179316-00.
How do I know this is the right side airbag for my Song PLUS?
This one is listed for the right side only, fitted inside the car. Sides can be marked differently across sellers, so match it by checking the OE number stamped or printed on the module you are removing against 16179316-00 before ordering. If the numbers do not line up, or the marking has worn away and you cannot read it, use the quote route on this page and send over what you have. That way someone can confirm it against your car before the part is picked and packed for you.
How can I be sure this curtain airbag will fit my Song PLUS?
Match the OE number 16179316-00 against the number on your original module before you order. This listing is for the right side only, so check that against the side that has deployed or failed on your car. It is also listed under the code SA3HK-5820800A-D2, which can help if your part carries that marking instead. Getting the side and number right first avoids ordering the wrong one for your Song PLUS.
What is the actual difference between Original/Genuine and Aftermarket for this module?
Before you order, have the old module in front of you and check its printed OE number against 16179316-00, also listed as SA3HK-5820800A-D2. That number tells you whether the fitment on this page matches your car, whatever tier you choose. This one is a new unit built to fit the BYD Song PLUS. If the number on your old part does not match, do not rely on the tier description alone, use the fitment table on this page to confirm before you commit.
What if the number on my old part is different?
Do not assume this module is still correct if the numbers do not match exactly. Check the fitment table on this page against your own model and compare it once more with the marking stamped on the old part before you order. If the two numbers do not agree, this is not the right module for your car, and you should use the fitment table to find the version that matches your own part instead.
Does this curtain airbag need fitting by a garage?
That is your call to make, based on what you find on the car. Confirm this is the right hand curtain position before you order, then look at how the existing module sits along the roof line and how many fixings hold it in place. This one is listed for the BYD Song PLUS with OE number 16179316-00, so match that number against the part on the car and check the fitment table on this page before you commit to the order.
How does a part this size get delivered?
Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. The packaging details are shown on this page. If you want to check you have the right item before it arrives, it is also listed under the reference SA3HK-5820800A-D2, worth matching against your own paperwork or the old module. Before you order, check the number on your old part against OE 16179316-00.
