About This Part
Driver airbag module in the Midnight Sky interior finish for the BYD Song PLUS, OE 17519748-00 (reference SA3HW-5820100-00ZA7). This SRS unit mounts in the centre of the steering wheel and pairs a moulded cover with the folded cushion and inflator, so trim colour and connector type must match the car. It fits the Song PLUS EV Smart Driving 2024-2025, the Song PLUS DM-i Smart Driving 2024-2025 and the 2025 Song PLUS EV. This steering wheel airbag is a safety-critical restraint and should be fitted by a qualified technician.

Frequently Asked Questions: OE 17519748-00
You have selected Aftermarket, the aftermarket alternative to this part. Where an answer below names BYD as the maker or calls the part Original/Genuine, it describes the Original/Genuine version, not this one.
Can I just add this airbag module to my basket and buy it online?
Ordering this module is not a straight online checkout. Use the quote route on this page and quote the OE number 17519748-00 so the correct unit can be confirmed for your Song PLUS before it is sent out. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. Before you order, check the number on your old part against OE 17519748-00.
Is this airbag module for the driver side or the passenger side?
This one is listed for the left side. Before ordering, take the old module out and check its position and which side it sits on in the car. Airbag modules are fitted per side, so comparing this against the part in front of you is the only way to be certain you are ordering the correct one. If anything does not match, hold off and check further before placing the order.
What is the difference between the quality tiers for this driver airbag module?
This page lists only one version of this module, made in China, so there is no Original/Genuine or Aftermarket choice to weigh up here. Order the one shown. Before fitting, check that it is the left side unit and sits in the interior in the same position as the part you are removing, and match the fixings on the steering wheel against your old module. That check matters more than any tier, since a mismatch there means it will not go in properly.
The number on my old airbag module does not match this one, what do I do?
If the number on your old part does not match 17519748-00, do not assume it is the wrong module. This part is also listed under the reference SA3HW-5820100-00ZA7, so check your old unit against that number as well before ruling it out. Either number appearing on your old part points to the same module, so a match under one of them is enough to confirm this is the correct item to order for your car.
Should I get this airbag module fitted by a professional?
Yes, this is best left to a professional fitter rather than attempted at home. Before booking the job, check the OE number stamped on the airbag unit you are taking out of the steering wheel, and match it against 17519748-00 or the alternative reference SA3HW-5820100-00ZA7. If the number does not match, do not go ahead with fitting, since it will not suit your vehicle. Confirming the stamped OE number first means the professional installs the correct module from the outset.
