Frequently Asked Questions: OE 14013137-00
You have selected Aftermarket, the aftermarket alternative to this part. Where an answer below names BYD as the maker or calls the part Original/Genuine, it describes the Original/Genuine version, not this one.
How do I know this is the correct side for my BYD Song PLUS?
The listing here is for the left side, fitted to the front of the car. Left and right can be confusing when described from inside the cabin rather than from outside looking at the bumper, so do not guess from memory. Before you order, hold the old trim strip in front of you and check which corner of the bumper it sits on. That direct comparison with the part in hand is the safest way to be certain you are ordering the correct side for this fitment.
How do I know if I need the Original or Aftermarket version of this trim strip?
Look at the old trim strip before you decide. If it carries a BYD stamp or mark, that points to the Original or Genuine tier. If it has no maker mark, or a different one, the Aftermarket tier is the closer match. The OE number 14013137-00 is your reference point either way, so check the old part against the fitment table on this page before ordering, rather than guessing from the vehicle alone.
The number on my old trim strip does not match 14013137-00, what do I do?
If the number on your old trim strip does not match 14013137-00, check the reference SA3HKU-2803117 as well, since this part is also listed under that number. A different number on the old part does not always mean a different part. Compare the photographs on this page against the piece you have removed, looking closely at its shape and the position of the mounting points. If they match, you can be confident you have the right trim strip in front of you.
What is this trim strip made of and does it matter for fitting?
This trim strip is made of plastic. It is listed for the BYD Song PLUS, matched to OE number 14013137-00. Before you order, find the model and the model year exactly as written on your registration document, and use those to read the fitment table on this page. Ordering against those details, rather than from memory, is the surest way to be certain this plastic trim strip is the correct one for your car.
