Frequently Asked Questions: OE 16577489-00
The number on my old part does not match 16577489-00, what now?
Do not fit it on the strength of the guard looking similar. Go to the fitment table on this page and check your vehicle against it before ordering, since the wrong mesh will not sit correctly in the engine bay even if it looks close. If your vehicle does not appear in that table, hold off ordering and confirm fitment first rather than guessing from appearance alone. Matching the table is the only reliable way to be sure this is the right guard for your car.

What is the stone guard mesh made of?
This is a black plastic mesh, made new and not a used or reconditioned item. Plastic keeps the guard light, which suits its job of sitting in front of the radiator without adding weight to the engine bay. Have a look through the photographs on this page before you order, so you can see the mesh itself and how it sits once fitted. If you are working from the old part, check its OE number, 16577489-00, against what you have removed to be sure it is the same guard.
Will this stone guard mesh need painting to match the Bao 8?
No colour finishing is mentioned for this guard, and it is listed as black plastic as supplied. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. The shipping cost is confirmed with your quote. Before you order, check the number on your old part against OE 16577489-00.
