Frequently Asked Questions: OE 18230482-00
What is the difference between the Original or Genuine version and the Aftermarket version?
The Original or Genuine version is made by BYD, the maker of the car. The Aftermarket version is made by a different manufacturer to fit the same spot. Before you order either, have the old bumper cover in front of you and check the OE number 18230482-00 against what is stamped or moulded on it, or against the fitment table on this page. That is the surest way to confirm you are matching what actually came off your Song PLUS, whichever tier you then choose to buy.
What if the OE number on my old part is different from this one?
A different number on your old part does not necessarily rule this cover out. This part carries the OE number 18230482-00 and is also known as SA3HDA-2804130/30, so check both before you decide it does not match. The next step is the fitment table on this page, where you can confirm the entry against your vehicle rather than relying on a single number. If your car does not appear in that table against this listing, do not fit this cover, look instead for the listing that matches your vehicle.
How does a part this size get delivered to me?
This is a large plastic cover, so it needs proper handling rather than a standard small parcel. The packaging details are shown on this page. Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. Because size and delivery method affect cost, do not guess. Use the quote route on this page and enter your postcode so the actual delivery option and timing for your address comes back correctly before you commit to buying.
What is this rear bumper made of?
It is plastic, new rather than a repair on your old one. The OE number for this cover is 18230482-00, so check that against your old part before ordering. If you are matching against a part with a different reference on your old car's paperwork, look for it under SA3HDA-2804130/30, which is how this same cover is also listed.
Where does this part fit on the car?
The upper section of the rear bumper cover is the exterior panel fitted at the back of the car. It belongs to the bumpers and trim group listed on this page. Before you order, check the OE number stamped on the part you are taking off against 18230482-00, or its alternative reference SA3HDA-2804130/30. Matching that number is the clearest way to confirm this is the exact upper cover your car needs.
