Frequently Asked Questions: OE 13079378-00
What if the OE number on my old evaporator does not match 13079378-00?
Go by the number stamped on the evaporator you are removing rather than the model or year of the car. Evaporators sit inside the dash and are not always easy to reach, so check carefully before ordering. If the stamped number differs from 13079378-00, do not fit this part. Use the quote route on this page and send over what you find, including the alternative reference HA2HE-8107010, so the fitment can be checked properly before you commit to the job.
How long will delivery take once I order this evaporator?
Allow 8 to 28 days for delivery, counted from your order to your door. Plan the work on your BYD Seal around that window rather than around when you place the order. If you need a firmer date for your particular case, use the quote route on this page and ask there before you commit to a repair date. The shipping cost for your country is shown on this page and confirmed at checkout before you pay.
What is the A/C evaporator made of and does that matter for fitting?
It is a metal assembly, which is why it comes as one fixed unit rather than separate parts that could be mixed and matched. Because of that, getting the exact match to your BYD Seal matters more than it would with a simple hose or bracket. Check the OE number on the unit you are removing, 13079378-00, against the fitment table on this page before you order, since the wrong evaporator will not seat or connect correctly even if it looks similar.
Where does the A/C evaporator fit in the car?
Have a look at the photographs on this page before you order, so you can match the assembly shape and connector layout to the part you have taken out. This is a new metal evaporator assembly, carrying OE number 13079378-00, also known as HA2HE-8107010. Checking the images against your old unit is the surest way to confirm you have the right one, since a wrong match here means the pipes and connectors will not line up when it is fitted.
Is there an aftermarket option for this evaporator or only the original?
Only the original BYD version carries OE number 13079378-00, with no aftermarket alternative currently shown. If you would rather price an alternative, that can be found and quoted on request rather than ordered directly from this page. Before asking for that quote, check the side, the position and the fixings on your own car so whoever prices the alternative knows exactly what has to match on your BYD Seal.
