About This Part
Right-side powered tailgate strut for the BYD Song PLUS, OE 13369008-00 with BYD reference SA3F-6309512A. This is the main body of the electric power gas strut that raises and lowers the rear hatch, complete with its integrated motor and wiring connector. It suits the Song PLUS EV Glory and Champion and the Song PLUS DM-i Glory and Champion, model years 2023-2024, plus further Song PLUS variants. Fit it to the right hand hinge only. The electric tailgate lift support handles the load so the gate holds position and closes under power.

Frequently Asked Questions: OE 13369008-00
Is this the strut for the right or left side of my tailgate?
This is the right side strut. Before ordering, look at where the strut sits on your tailgate, right or left, and check the fixings at each end against your own car. The two struts on a tailgate are not always identical, so matching side matters as much as matching the model. Use the fitment table on this page to confirm this strut is listed for your car, and check the OE number, 13369008-00, against any marking on the old part before you fit the new one.
What is the difference between the two quality tiers listed for this strut?
Check the fitment table on this page, where each listing for this OE number shows its own quality tier so you can see exactly what you are choosing between before you order. The strut itself is a new metal unit finished in black, built for the right rear position on the tailgate. If you are working from the old part, match the OE number 13369008-00 first, since that confirms you are looking at the correct listing before tier becomes a factor.
The number on my old strut does not match this one, what should I do?
If the number stamped on your old strut is not 13369008-00, check whether it matches the alternative reference SA3F-6309512A instead, since this part is listed under both. If neither number matches, take the old strut in hand and read the number stamped on it again closely, then compare it against both references here before ordering, rather than going by the side of the car alone.
What is this power strut made from and does it matter for fitting?
It is a metal strut assembly built for the right rear tailgate, not a plastic or gas canister on its own. The metal body houses the mechanism that holds the tailgate open, so it is a like for like replacement rather than a generic ram. Check the model and model year on your registration document before you order, since BYD Song PLUS variants can differ. Match those details against OE number 13369008-00 to be sure you order the correct strut for your car.
Will this strut need painting or finishing to match my car?
Only one finish is listed for this strut, black, and no other colour option is given. Have the old part in front of you before you order, and check its colour and shape against what is listed here, along with the fixing points at each end. If anything differs from what you see on your car, do not rely on the description alone, confirm against the physical part before ordering the replacement.
