Frequently Asked Questions: OE 12912328-00
My old hinge has a different number on it. Have I got the wrong page?
Possibly not. This tailgate hinge carries the OE number 12912328-00 and under the alternative reference SC-6306200, and a part off the car can carry either one or a mark belonging to whoever pressed it. Clean the old hinge and read the stamping in full before drawing a conclusion, then set it against both numbers here. If neither matches, send a photograph of the old part and its label through the quote route, and we will work out which hinge your car should have.
How long does this part take to arrive?
The delivery time is 8 to 25 days, from order to door. If you need something firmer before booking the car in, quote 12912328-00 through the quote route and we will give you the current position on this line. The shipping cost for your country is shown on this page and confirmed at checkout before you pay. Before you order, check the number on your old part against OE 12912328-00.
What is this hinge made from?
The material is metal, and no colour or finish is listed, so there is nothing on it to match to the paint on the car. Keep it dry between delivery and fitting. When it comes, put it next to the hinge you removed and check the bolt spacing agrees before the tailgate is offered back up.
Where on the car does this hinge sit?
At the rear of the car, in the lower position, mounted externally on the body where the tailgate swings. This part has no side, so it is not a left or right item. If the hinge you need is the upper one instead, that is a different reference and this page will not cover it, so look at both positions on the car before ordering. Open the tailgate and identify which fixing has failed, then check the fitment table on this page against your own model.
Why is only one price shown for this hinge?
Because only the Original/Genuine tier exists on this reference. Where we do hold an aftermarket equivalent, both tiers are priced on the product page and you choose between them yourself. The single entry here reflects supply on this particular hinge. If you would like us to look further afield, ask through the quote route. Keep the old tailgate lower hinge until the new one is fitted, in case the two need comparing.
