Frequently Asked Questions: OE 18253422-00
How do I know this will fit my Song Ultra EV?
Fit on this part is confirmed by matching the OE number on your old part against the fitment table on this page rather than by the model name alone. Check the old part's OE number, or send a photograph of it through the quote route, and it will be confirmed before ordering. Electronic expansion valves are specific to the model and system they were designed for, so a visual match is not enough on its own. Take a moment with the table first and the order will be right the first time.
What if the number on my old valve does not match 18253422-00?
If the figures do not line up, trust the number stamped on the part you are removing over anything printed on a listing. Look closely at the valve body itself, since the mark can be small and sit near a fitting or edge. This part is also listed as TA3-8109209, so check against both before assuming a mismatch. If neither number appears on your old valve, it is worth confirming which one is fitted before ordering a replacement.
What is this valve made of?
Metal is the material listed for this valve. Have a look at the photographs on this page to see the housing and connections before you order, since that will show you the shape and fittings you are working with. Check the OE number on the page, 18253422-00, against the old unit fitted to your BYD Song Ultra EV. If you are not certain from the images alone, use the fitment table on this page to confirm it matches your vehicle.
Where does this expansion valve fit on the car?
This is fitted in the engine bay on the BYD Song Ultra EV. If you are working from the old part rather than the car itself, check the marking against OE number 18253422-00 or the listed cross reference TA3-8109209 before you order, since a mismatch here means the wrong part arrives. If you are at all unsure which one your car needs, use the quote route on this page and give the details there rather than guessing from position alone.
