BYD Seal 07 EV Parts

The BYD Seal 07 EV is a four-door battery-electric saloon on a 2,900 mm wheelbase, built to one specification across its two trims, with a 69.07 kWh second-generation Blade pack and a single 240 kW rear motor common to both. Order running gear against the model and build date rather than trim, since tyres, brakes, pack and dampers do not change across the range. The one variable that reaches the parts list is the roof, where LiDAR is standard on the Flagship and optional below it, so check a photograph before quoting glass, roof or fender trim.

Symptom Finder: Known Weak Points

What you see or hearCheck first
Suspension warning or an unsettled, harsh ride The DiSus-C dampers and their connectors. Every car has electronically controlled dampers, so order the DiSus-C unit for the correct corner and not a passive strut.
Parking sensor or driver assistance warning after a minor knock The ultrasonic sensors and radar in the bumpers, and their brackets. A bent bracket can trigger the warning on its own, so check it before replacing the sensor.
Driver assistance features unavailable on a car with roof lidar Look at the lidar housing on the roof for damage or dirt first. Then order the lidar or its trim by the OE number on the fitted unit.
Flash charging far slower than expected The fastest figures need BYD's own flash-charging equipment. Before ordering parts, try another charger and inspect the charging socket and cable for damage.
Clunk or shunt when pulling away or lifting off The rear drive unit mounts. A single rear motor puts all the drive through them, so inspect the mounts before looking further.
Brake judder, squeal or grinding after light use Discs and pads. Much of the braking is done by the motor, so discs can corrode before pads wear. Order front and rear parts separately by OE number.
Weak cabin heating or cooling The blower, evaporator and air-conditioning compressor. With no engine heat, the cabin depends on this circuit, so trace the fault before ordering.
Tyre pressure warning that returns after inflating The TPMS sensor and valve on that wheel. Order by the OE number on the old sensor, and check the tyre is still 225/50 R18.

Most Replaced Parts on the Seal 07 EV

  1. Powertrain and drive-unit mountsA single rear motor drives the car, so its mounts carry all the drive
  2. Control arms and bushingsIndependent suspension front and rear, with DiSus-C damping standard on both trims
  3. Evaporator, blower and heater core partsCabin heating and cooling on a car with no engine heat to draw on
  4. TPMS sensors and valvesBoth trims run 225/50 R18 tyres on all four wheels, with no spare
  5. Air-conditioning compressor and condenserThe air-conditioning circuit works with the battery thermal system as well as the cabin

About BYD Seal 07 EV Parts

The BYD Seal 07 EV is a battery-electric saloon launched in China on 5 March 2026 in two trims, the 705 Zunrong and the 705 Flagship. It is 4,995 mm long on a 2,900 mm wheelbase and drives its rear wheels through a single 240 kW motor. The motor is fed by a 69.07 kWh second-generation Blade battery built for BYD's flash charging. There is no engine, so the parts it needs are those of an electric car: drive unit mounts, the cooling and air-conditioning hardware for the battery and cabin, DiSus-C dampers and brakes for a car weighing 1,940 kg, and the cameras, radar and roof lidar used by its driver assistance. Its body dimensions are almost the same as those of the Seal 07 DM-i plug-in hybrid, which makes wrong orders easy. Every part on this page is listed by its OE number, and that number is the surest way to confirm a part fits.

What to know before buying BYD Seal 07 EV parts

Start by making sure the car is a Seal 07 EV and not its plug-in hybrid sibling, the Seal 07 DM-i. Both saloons are 4,995 mm long and 1,495 mm high on a 2,900 mm wheelbase, and the EV is only 10 mm wider at 1,910 mm. The powertrain tells them apart. The DM-i has a 1.5 litre petrol engine, a fuel filler and an exhaust, and it drives the front wheels. The EV has none of these and drives the rear wheels through a single 240 kW motor. Drive, battery, fuel, exhaust and thermal parts do not cross between the two cars. Treat any body part from the DM-i as a candidate only until the OE number matches.

Keep the car separate from the BYD Seal as well. In 2024 BYD planned to sell the facelifted Seal as the Seal 07 EV, then dropped the name, so some older articles and listings use it for the Seal. The Seal is 4,800 mm long on a 2,920 mm wheelbase and does not share its body with this car. The Sealion 7 is an SUV and a different car again.

The two Seal 07 EV trims share their running gear. The 705 Zunrong and the 705 Flagship both carry the 69.07 kWh second-generation Blade battery and the 240 kW motor. Both weigh 1,940 kg at the kerb, run 225/50 R18 tyres on all four wheels and have DiSus-C electronically controlled damping as standard. Brakes, dampers, bearings and tyres follow the model, whatever the badge says, and every damper should be ordered as a DiSus-C unit.

The driver assistance hardware is what varies from car to car. The roof lidar is standard on the Flagship and was offered as an option on the Zunrong, so look at the roof before ordering lidar, roof trim or related wiring. The Flagship also carries 12 ultrasonic parking sensors and five radar units. A bumper repair therefore often needs sensors and brackets as well as the panel. For painted panels, order by the colour code on the car rather than by colour name.

Finally, note the build date on the identification plate. The car has had no facelift since it launched in March 2026. In September 2026 BYD previewed a larger second-generation Seal 07, and parts should not be assumed to interchange between the two.

Before You Order: 8 Checks

  1. Confirm the car is a Seal 07 EV and not the Seal 07 DM-i. Rear-wheel drive with no fuel filler and no exhaust means the EV, so order for that model.
  2. Match the OE number on the part you are replacing to the OE number on the listing, since a matching number is the surest check that a part fits.
  3. Look at the roof for the lidar housing before ordering lidar, roof trim or driver assistance parts, since the trim badge does not settle it.
  4. Order dampers as DiSus-C electronically controlled units for the correct corner, since every Seal 07 EV has them as standard.
  5. Read the tyre size on the sidewall before ordering tyres, rims or TPMS parts. The car was built on 225/50 R18 all round.
  6. Order painted panels by the colour code on the car rather than by colour name.
  7. After a bumper repair, check the parking sensors and their brackets as well as the panel, and order each sensor by the OE number on the old unit.
  8. Once the larger second-generation Seal 07 is on sale, check the build date on the identification plate before ordering body or suspension parts.

Generations and Facelifts

The Seal 07 name started with a plug-in hybrid. BYD showed the car as the Destroyer 07 at Auto Shanghai in April 2023 and put it on sale in September 2023 under the Seal 07 name. It was a front-wheel-drive saloon with a 1.5 litre petrol engine. An updated Seal 07 DM-i followed on 15 September 2025. It grew to 4,995 mm long and 1,900 mm wide on the same 2,900 mm wheelbase, and it is still on sale. Separately, in 2024 BYD had planned to call the facelifted Seal the Seal 07 EV, but it dropped the name and the updated car kept the Seal badge.

The Seal 07 EV was announced on 1 March 2026 and went on sale on 5 March 2026, alongside an updated Sealion 06 EV. Deliveries began in late March. It uses the DM-i's body dimensions, widened to 1,910 mm, and swaps the hybrid drive for a single 240 kW rear motor and a 69.07 kWh second-generation Blade battery built for flash charging. It was among BYD's first models to use that battery. Two trims were offered, the 705 Zunrong and the 705 Flagship, and both have DiSus-C damping.

The car has had no facelift. On 28 September 2026 BYD previewed a second-generation Seal 07. It is 5,080 mm long, 1,960 mm wide and 1,495 mm high on a 2,960 mm wheelbase. Electric versions have 245 kW or 300 kW, and the car gets roof lidar and semi-concealed door handles. A DM-i version keeps that name. No launch date had been given at the time of writing. A body this much larger points to new panels, glass and suspension parts. Once the new car is on sale, read the build date on the identification plate and match every part by OE number.

BYD Seal 07 EV Parts: Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make sure a part fits my BYD Seal 07 EV?

Match the OE number. Every part on this site is listed under the OE number printed on the original part, and if the number on the part you are replacing matches the listing, the part fits. That check matters on the Seal 07 EV because its body dimensions are almost the same as those of the Seal 07 DM-i plug-in hybrid. It also carries a name BYD once planned for the facelifted Seal. If the old part is missing or its number is unreadable, send the details through the quote form and we will reply within 24 hours, usually sooner.

How can I tell a Seal 07 EV from a Seal 07 DM-i?

The body will not tell you much. Both saloons are 4,995 mm long and 1,495 mm high on a 2,900 mm wheelbase, and the EV is 1,910 mm wide against 1,900 mm for the DM-i updated in September 2025. The quickest check is the powertrain. The DM-i has a 1.5 litre petrol engine, a fuel filler and an exhaust, and it drives the front wheels. The EV has none of these and drives the rear wheels through a single 240 kW motor. Once you know which car you have, confirm each part by its OE number.

Can I use Seal 07 DM-i parts on a Seal 07 EV?

Not for the drive, battery, fuel or exhaust systems. The DM-i uses a petrol engine and a front motor, and the EV uses a rear motor alone. The cooling and air-conditioning circuits differ for the same reason. Body and cabin parts are closer because the two cars share a length, height and wheelbase. The EV is 10 mm wider, though, so wings, bumpers and trim can still differ. Treat any DM-i part as a candidate only, and order it once the OE number matches the part on your car.

Is the Seal 07 EV the facelifted BYD Seal?

No. In 2024 BYD planned to rename the facelifted Seal as the Seal 07 EV, then dropped the idea after feedback from buyers, and the updated car kept the Seal name. The name was later used for this saloon, which went on sale on 5 March 2026. The Seal is 4,800 mm long on a 2,920 mm wheelbase, against 4,995 mm and 2,900 mm here, so its parts do not carry over because of the name. If a 2024 article or listing mentions a Seal 07 EV, check which car it means, then match the OE number.

Does the trim change any mechanical part on the Seal 07 EV?

No mechanical difference is listed between the 705 Zunrong and the 705 Flagship. Both carry the 69.07 kWh second-generation Blade battery and the 240 kW rear motor. Both weigh 1,940 kg at the kerb, run 225/50 R18 tyres on all four wheels and have DiSus-C damping as standard. Brakes, dampers, bearings and tyres therefore follow the model, whatever the badge says. The difference is in the driver assistance hardware, chiefly the roof lidar. Check the roof before ordering any sensor or roof part, and confirm every item by OE number.

How do I tell whether a Seal 07 EV has the roof lidar?

Look at the roof. The lidar sits in its own housing on the roof, and it is either there or it is not. It is standard on the 705 Flagship and was offered as an option on the 705 Zunrong, so the trim badge alone does not settle it. A car with the lidar also has the mounting and wiring for it, so order roof trim, the lidar unit and the parts around it only after you have seen the roof. Then match each part to the OE number on the unit you are replacing.

What tyre size does the Seal 07 EV use, and does it have a spare?

Both trims were built on 225/50 R18 tyres, the same size front and rear, and no spare wheel is fitted. The car weighs 1,940 kg and drives through its rear wheels, so the rear tyres usually wear faster than the fronts. Read the size on the sidewall before ordering, since a previous owner may have changed the wheels. When you replace tyres, check the TPMS sensors and valves at the same time, and order them by the OE number on the old part.

What does DiSus-C mean for replacing the dampers?

Every Seal 07 EV has DiSus-C, BYD's electronically controlled damping, as standard on both trims. Each corner therefore carries a variable damper wired to the car's control system, and a passive strut from another car will not do the same job. When a damper leaks or a suspension warning appears, order the DiSus-C damper for the correct corner by the OE number on the old unit. Check the wiring connector at the same time, since a damaged plug can bring up the same warning.

Why do the service schedules I find mention engine oil?

Because they describe a different car. Service schedules published under the Seal 07 name usually belong to the Seal 07 DM-i plug-in hybrid, which has a petrol engine and needs oil, oil filters and fuel system parts. The Seal 07 EV has no engine and needs none of those. Its routine parts are cabin air filters, brake fluid, coolant for the battery and motor circuits, brake pads, wipers and tyres. Ignore any schedule that lists engine oil, and order service parts by the OE number on the parts fitted.

Does the Seal 07 EV really charge in five minutes?

It can, on BYD's own flash-charging equipment. BYD quotes 10 to 70 per cent in about five minutes and 10 to 97 per cent in about nine minutes. At minus 30 degrees Celsius it quotes about 11 minutes from 20 to 97 per cent. The car was among BYD's first models with the second-generation Blade battery and this charging hardware. Battery and charging parts from earlier BYD models should not be assumed to fit. Order the charging socket, cables and battery components only by the OE number on the part being replaced.

Will parts from the second-generation Seal 07 fit my car?

Do not assume they will. BYD previewed a second-generation Seal 07 on 28 September 2026, and no launch date had been given at the time of writing. It is a larger car, 5,080 mm long and 1,960 mm wide on a 2,960 mm wheelbase. Its electric versions have 245 kW or 300 kW, and there is also a DM-i version. With that much change in size, expect body panels, glass and much of the suspension to differ. Check the build date on the identification plate and match every part by OE number.

What brakes does the Seal 07 EV use?

It has disc brakes on all four wheels, with ventilated discs at the front, and the published specifications give both trims the same brakes. The car weighs 1,940 kg and, like most electric cars, does much of its slowing through the motor. Discs can therefore corrode from light use before the pads are worn. Check the disc surfaces as well as the pad thickness. Order discs and pads by the OE number on the parts fitted, treating the front and rear axles separately.

Safety Recalls Affecting This Model

No recall affects the BYD Seal 07 EV. No Chinese, European, United Kingdom, Australian or Indian campaign names this car, and it has been on sale for months without one. One campaign sits close enough to cause confusion: BYD India's voluntary recall of 27 January 2026, which covers the larger Seal saloon on a different platform, and the importer stated it did not extend to the rest of the line-up. If you have been told this car is covered by that action, or by any schedule mentioning engine oil or a fuel filter under the Seal 07 name, disregard it and check the vehicle identification number against the recall notice directly rather than relying on the model name alone.
