Symptom Finder: Known Weak Points

What you see or hearCheck first
Suspension warning, or a ride that turns harsh or floaty The DiSus-C adaptive dampers and their wiring. Every Song Ultra EV has them, so replace a damper only with the adaptive unit, ordered by corner and OE number.
Clunk or knock from the rear over bumps Rear control arm bushes and damper mounts. The car weighs about two tonnes and drives through the rear wheels, so start at the back, then match each part by OE number.
Flash charging slow to start or cutting out The charge port first. Look for debris, bent pins or heat marks in the socket before suspecting a deeper fault, then order the socket or its wiring by OE number.
Driver-assistance or parking warning after a minor knock The bumper sensors and their brackets, and the lidar housing on the roof if one is fitted. A bent bracket can trigger the warning on its own, so check it before replacing a sensor.
Coolant warning or a falling coolant level Hoses, valves and expansion tanks. Trace the leak to the battery or the motor circuit first, since each uses its own coolant, then match the part by OE number.
Brake squeal, judder or a caliper that drags Discs, pads and caliper slide pins. Regenerative braking leaves the friction brakes lightly used, so corrosion and sticking pins are more likely than worn pads.
Tyre pressure warning that comes back after inflating Check the tyre for a slow puncture, then the valve and pressure sensor. Replace the tyre with the size shown on the sidewall of the others.

About BYD Song Ultra EV Parts

The BYD Song Ultra EV is a mid-size, five-seat electric SUV in BYD's Dynasty range. It went on sale in China on 26 March 2026 as the first B-segment pure-electric SUV in that line. It is 4,850 mm long, has a 2,840 mm wheelbase and is built on BYD's e-Platform 3.0. Every car is rear-wheel drive through a single rear motor, rated at 240 kW or 270 kW depending on the battery. The battery is a second-generation Blade pack built for very fast charging. There is no engine, so the car needs the parts of a heavy electric car: brakes, suspension and steering joints, cooling hardware for the battery and motor, charging parts and driver-assistance sensors. DiSus-C adaptive damping is standard on every version. Every part on this page is listed by its OE number, and that number is the surest way to confirm a part fits.

What to know before buying BYD Song Ultra EV parts

Start by making sure the car is the Song Ultra EV. Two other cars share part of its name, and neither is an earlier version of it. The Song Ultra DM-i is a plug-in hybrid in the same body, on sale from 28 May 2026. It has the same 4,850 mm length, 1,910 mm width, 1,670 mm height and 2,840 mm wheelbase. From the outside the two look alike, so check under the bonnet. The EV has a 150-litre front boot where the DM-i carries a 1.5 litre petrol engine, and only the DM-i has a fuel filler flap. Drive, cooling and underbody parts differ between the two, so match every part by OE number, even a panel that looks the same.

The Song L EV is the other name to watch. It is a lower car on a longer wheelbase, 2,930 mm against 2,840 mm, and 1,560 mm tall against 1,670 mm. Some versions also drive all four wheels. Its body panels, glass and suspension are built around those dimensions, so do not order from Song L EV listings for this car.

Within the Song Ultra EV, the main split is the drive and the battery, and the two go together. Cars with the smaller battery use a 240 kW rear motor, and cars with the 82.7 kWh battery use the 270 kW TZ200XYAV motor. Every car is rear-wheel drive with one motor, so there is no front drive unit or front driveshaft to order. Curb weight is 1,990 kg or 2,050 kg, depending on the battery. Read the OE number on the motor, the battery or the old part before ordering anything in the drive or high-voltage system.

Some equipment varies from car to car. Lidar is an option on some versions. It sits at the front of the roof as part of the God's Eye B driver-assistance package, so look at the roof before ordering sensor parts or roof trim. A panoramic sunroof was also optional, and it decides whether roof glass, seals and a sunblind apply. Three wheel designs were shown, so match the design as well as the tyre size on the sidewall. Parking sensors sit in the bumpers, so a bumper repair often needs sensors and brackets as well as the panel, and any sensor you replace needs calibrating afterwards. Order painted panels by the colour code on the car.

DiSus-C adaptive damping is standard on every version, so every car uses electronically controlled dampers. Order them by corner and by OE number.

There has been no facelift, so build date does not split parts yet. Note the build date on the identification plate when you order, since it will matter once an update arrives.

Before You Order: 7 Checks

  1. Confirm the car is a Song Ultra EV and not the Song Ultra DM-i. The EV has a front boot and no fuel filler flap. Treat the two as separate cars when you order.
  2. Match the OE number on the part you are replacing to the OE number on the listing before you order.
  3. Check the motor rating and battery size together before ordering drive or battery parts: 240 kW with the smaller battery, or 270 kW with the 82.7 kWh battery.
  4. Look for a lidar housing on the roof and for sensors in the bumpers and windscreen, then order each sensor by the OE number on the old unit.
  5. Read the tyre size on the sidewall and match the wheel design before ordering tyres or rims.
  6. Check whether the car has a glass roof before ordering roof glass, seals or headlining parts.
  7. Order painted panels by the colour code on the car rather than by colour name.

Generations and Facelifts

The Song name covers several BYD cars, and the Song Ultra EV is a new model rather than the next generation of any of them. The closest relative by name is the Song L EV, a lower, longer-wheelbase electric SUV. It was shown at the Chengdu Auto Show in August 2023 and went into production in December 2023. It is still sold alongside the Song Ultra EV and shares no generation with it.

BYD confirmed the Song Ultra on 4 February 2026 and released official images later that month. The car was unveiled at BYD's Technology Day on 5 March 2026, when pre-sales opened, and went on sale on 26 March 2026 in four trims. BYD presented it as the first B-segment pure-electric SUV in its Dynasty range. Every car had the second-generation Blade battery, flash charging and DiSus-C damping. Before launch, the smaller-battery version was quoted at 620 km of CLTC range. At launch the figure was 605 km, and both figures refer to the same version.

On 28 May 2026 BYD added the Song Ultra DM-i. It is a plug-in hybrid in the same body, with a 1.5 litre petrol engine, a 175 kW motor and a battery of 26.6 kWh or 38 kWh. It is built alongside the EV as a separate model, and its drive and cooling parts are its own.

As of September 2026 the Song Ultra EV has had no facelift and no model-year update. Differences in parts come from the version ordered: the motor and battery pairing, the optional lidar and the optional glass roof. When an update arrives, the build date on the identification plate will be the check.

BYD Song Ultra EV Parts: Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make sure a part fits my BYD Song Ultra EV?

Match the OE number. Every part on this site is listed under the OE number printed on the original part. If the number on the part you are replacing matches the listing, the part fits. That check matters on this car because the Song Ultra DM-i shares its body and the Song L EV shares its name, and neither shares all its parts. If the old part is missing or its number cannot be read, send it through the quote form with a photo and we will reply within 24 hours, usually sooner.

Do parts from the Song Ultra DM-i fit the EV?

Some may, but many will not. The DM-i went on sale on 28 May 2026 in the same body, with the same 4,850 mm length and 2,840 mm wheelbase. It carries a 1.5 litre petrol engine, a 175 kW electric motor and a much smaller battery, so its drive, cooling and underbody parts differ from the EV's. Panels that look the same should still be checked against the OE number before you order. Treat the two as separate cars and match every part by its OE number.

Will parts from the Song L EV fit?

Very rarely. The Song L EV is a lower car on a longer wheelbase: 2,930 mm against 2,840 mm, and 1,560 mm tall against 1,670 mm. Some versions also have all-wheel drive, which the Song Ultra EV never has. Body panels, glass, suspension arms and driveshafts are built around those different dimensions, so the two cars should not be treated as interchangeable. Ignore Song L EV listings unless the OE number matches the one on your old part exactly.

Is there a four-wheel-drive Song Ultra EV, and which motor does mine have?

Every Song Ultra EV is rear-wheel drive with a single motor at the back, so there is no front drive unit, front driveshaft or front motor mount to order. Two motor ratings are offered. Cars with the smaller battery use a 240 kW motor, and cars with the 82.7 kWh battery use the 270 kW TZ200XYAV motor. Before ordering drive parts, read the OE number on the motor or on the old part, and check the battery size at the same time.

How do I know if my car has lidar?

Look at the front of the roof, above the windscreen. Lidar is an option on some versions and comes with BYD's God's Eye B driver-assistance package, which uses 27 sensors in all. Because it is an option, two cars on the same trim can leave the factory with different hardware. Check what is actually fitted to the roof, windscreen and bumpers. Order each sensor by the OE number on the old unit, and have the system calibrated after fitting.

What tyres and wheels does the Song Ultra EV use?

The car runs 19-inch low-drag wheels, three wheel designs were shown for it, and the size usually quoted is 235/50 R19. Read the size on the sidewall of the tyres already fitted before you order, because that is the size that counts. When ordering a rim, match the design as well as the size, and order by OE number where you can. The car also has a system that keeps it stable after a tyre blowout at up to 140 km/h, so keep all four tyres to the specified size.

What is DiSus-C, and does every car have it?

DiSus-C is BYD's electronically controlled damping system, which keeps adjusting the dampers to suit the road. It is standard on every Song Ultra EV, so every car uses adaptive dampers rather than plain ones. That matters when ordering suspension parts, because the dampers are wired to the car's control system and a conventional damper will not work with it. Order dampers by corner and by the OE number on the old unit, and check the wiring connector for damage while the wheel is off.

Does an electric car like this need any fluids?

Yes, a few. The rear drive unit contains gear oil, the battery and motor electronics are cooled by liquid, and the brakes use hydraulic fluid. The battery and motor cooling circuits each use their own specified coolant, so do not top one up from the other's bottle. Brake fluid and the cabin filter are routine service items. Order each fluid or filter for the circuit it serves, and follow the service schedule in the car's handbook.

Which charging parts wear on a flash-charging car?

The charge port takes the most handling. BYD says the Song Ultra EV can charge from 10% to 70% in about five minutes on its flash chargers, which puts high current through the socket and its connectors. Before assuming the fault lies deeper in the car, look in the port for debris, bent pins, discolouration or heat marks. If the socket, its flap or the wiring behind it needs replacing, order it by the OE number on the old part.

Does every Song Ultra EV have a panoramic roof?

No. A panoramic sunroof was listed as an option, so some cars have a glass roof and others a solid one. The roof glass, its seals, the sunblind and the headlining around it only suit a car with the glass roof fitted. If the car also has the optional lidar, the front of the roof carries the sensor housing as well. Look at the roof before ordering any roof glass, trim or seals, and match each part by OE number.

Has the Song Ultra EV had a facelift or model-year update?

Not yet. Pre-sales opened on 5 March 2026 and the car went on sale on 26 March 2026. As of September 2026 it has had no facelift. Differences between cars come from the version ordered: the motor rating, the battery size, the optional lidar and the optional glass roof. Build date does not split parts so far, but note the build date on the identification plate when you order, since it will matter once an update arrives.

Can I order painted panels and exterior trim by colour name?

Order by the colour code on the car, since a name alone does not always pin down the exact shade. When the car was introduced, BYD showed several trim choices for the rear sides, wings, front and rear badges and bumpers, so check which trim your car has before ordering. After a bumper repair, check the parking sensors and their brackets as well as the panel. Then order each item by the OE number on the old part.
