About This Part
Stamped steel roof panel assembly for the BYD Qin PLUS range, carrying OE reference 12522163-00 (also 19205567 series body number HAD-5701010B/70). The panel includes the factory sunroof aperture and welded mounting flanges, so it drops straight onto the body-in-white during a roof skin replacement. It fits the Qin PLUS DM-i 2025-2026, Qin PLUS EV 2020-2025 and Qin PLUS DM-i 2020-2025, plus earlier Qin Pro EV and more. This roof skin (also called a roof cover panel or top panel) ships in e-coat primer ready for colour matching.

Frequently Asked Questions: OE 12522163-00
My body shop has quoted a reference I cannot match. Is it this panel?
Check both numbers before you decide anything. This roof panel is listed under OE number 12522163-00 and also under HAD-5701010B/70. A quote from a body shop or a dealer may show either, and the two mean the same panel here. If the reference you hold matches neither of them, it is worth stopping there. Send a photograph of the old part and its label through the quote route on this page and we will check it against the OE number. A roof panel is not a part to order on a maybe, so the check is worth the few minutes it takes.
What is the delivery time on a roof panel?
Delivery time is confirmed with your quote. Do not have the car stripped and waiting. Get the panel on its way first, and tell us at the point of order if you are working to a fixed date. The shipping cost is confirmed with your quote. Before you order, check the number on your old part against OE 12522163-00.
How is a panel this large delivered?
It is one of the largest items we send out. It goes on a pallet by freight, and the delivery address has to suit a large vehicle and have people there to unload it. A body shop or a trade unit is the sensible destination. Confirm with whoever is receiving it that they can take a pallet before you place the order, and make sure someone is on site to unload it when it arrives.
What is the roof panel made of?
The panel is metal and no colour is given for it, so it will need preparing and painting to match your car as part of the fitting work. That is a body shop job, and the cost of the paint work should go into your sums alongside the price shown on this page. Being metal also explains why a panel of this size still lands in the weight band it does. We are not told the gauge or any coating applied to it, and we will not guess. Pass the packed dimensions on this page to your painter.
Whereabouts does this panel fit?
This panel forms the top of the car, above the cabin, and that is the position it occupies here. It is a structural outer panel rather than a piece of trim, which is why the work goes to a body shop. Nothing on this page describes how it is joined on your particular model, and we will not describe it for you. Use the fitment table on this page to confirm your model and year, then match the number on the panel being removed against 12522163-00 before the replacement is ordered.
Why is there only one tier on this panel?
One version of this roof panel is listed and it is the Original/Genuine part from BYD. Nothing is available in the Aftermarket tier for this OE number, so the page carries a single price and no choice of tier. That is a matter of what we can source against this reference rather than a view on aftermarket panels. If you want us to look for one, send OE number 12522163-00 with your model through the quote route on this page and we will tell you what we find.
