BYD Seal 06 GT Parts

The BYD Seal 06 GT is a five-door hatchback and the only hatchback in the Seal 06 range, launched in October 2024 and rebuilt on 2 April 2026 without a single panel change. That rebuild swapped the battery pack, motors and drivetrain layout under identical bodywork, so a battery, motor or drivetrain part has to be matched to a build date, not just to the badge on the boot.

Symptom Finder: Known Weak Points

What you see or hearCheck first
Knock or clunk from the rear over broken roads The rear five-link suspension bushes and the damper mounts. On a 2026 car, check the build date and whether DiSus-C is fitted before ordering a damper.
Brake squeal, judder or uneven pedal feel Pads and discs. Launch cars list ventilated front and solid rear discs, so check the disc fitted and order pads and calipers to match.
Clunk or vibration from the front when pulling away on a dual-motor car Front driveshafts and motor mounts on the 310 kW launch car. Rear-drive cars have no front driveshaft, so look under the front first.
Air conditioning weak or the cabin slow to cool The compressor, condenser and refrigerant sensors. On an electric car this circuit often helps cool the battery too, so trace the fault before ordering.
Coolant warning or a falling coolant level Coolant valves, lines and the expansion tank. The dual-motor car has more cooling hardware at the front, so trace the leak to its circuit, then order by OE number.
Parking sensor or driver-assistance warning after a light knock The ultrasonic sensors in the bumpers and their brackets. A bent bracket can trigger the warning on its own, so check it before replacing the sensor.
A battery or charging part ordered by model name does not fit The 2 April 2026 update changed the pack and charging system. Read the build date on the identification plate and match the OE number.

Most Replaced Parts on the Seal 06 GT

  1. Control arms and bushingsDouble-ball-joint MacPherson front and five-link rear, so order by axle and side
  2. Powertrain and motor mountsThe 310 kW launch car adds front motor mounts that rear-drive cars do not have
  3. Brake calipers, cylinders and hydraulicsCheck the disc fitted before ordering, since caliper colour says nothing about trim
  4. Air-conditioning compressor and condenserOn an electric car this circuit often helps keep the battery cool as well
  5. Coolant valves and linesThe dual-motor launch car carries extra cooling hardware for its front motor

About BYD Seal 06 GT Parts

The BYD Seal 06 GT is a five-door electric hatchback in BYD's Ocean range. It went on sale in China on 18 October 2024 and was updated on 2 April 2026. It sits on e-Platform 3.0 Evo with a 2,820 mm wheelbase, and most cars drive the rear wheels through a single motor. The one exception is the all-wheel-drive car from the launch range, which adds an induction motor on the front axle for 310 kW in total. There is no engine, so there is no oil, spark plug or exhaust sensor to replace. The parts that matter are brakes, suspension, cooling, air conditioning and the high-voltage system. The 2026 update kept the body but changed the battery, the motors and the dampers, so the build date matters as much as the model name. Every part on this page is listed by its OE number, and that number is the surest way to confirm a part fits.

What to know before buying BYD Seal 06 GT parts

Start by making sure the car is the GT. The Seal 06 name covers several cars and only one of them is a hatchback. The Seal 06 EV is a four-door saloon on the same 2,820 mm wheelbase. The Seal 06 DM-i is a plug-in hybrid, sold as a saloon and, from April 2026, as a wagon. The GT is 4,630 mm long, 1,880 mm wide and 1,490 mm high, with a lifting tailgate instead of a boot lid. Some parts under the floor are shared with the Seal 06 EV and the Qin L EV, which use the same platform. Panels, glass, lamps and closures belong to the hatchback alone, so match them by OE number and never by badge.

Next, find out whether the car drives one axle or two. The launch range had rear-drive cars at 160 kW and 165 kW and one dual-motor car at 310 kW, which pairs a 110 kW induction motor at the front with a 200 kW permanent-magnet motor at the rear. Only that car has a front motor, front driveshafts and the mounting and cooling hardware that goes with them. Look under the front of the car for driveshafts before ordering anything for the front axle. Every 2026 car is rear-drive only.

Then read the build date on the identification plate. Cars built before the 2 April 2026 update carry a 59.52 or 72.96 kWh Blade pack. Cars built after it carry a second-generation Blade pack of 57.54 or 69.07 kWh with much faster charging, and a 200 or 240 kW rear motor. The body did not change, so the date is the only reliable way to tell the two apart. Battery, charging and motor parts must match it.

A few things vary from car to car. Tyres are 225/50 R18 or 235/45 R19, so read the sidewall before ordering tyres or rims. Specification tables for the launch range list ventilated front discs and solid rear discs on every version, including the 19-inch dual-motor car, but check the disc on the car before ordering brake parts. Red calipers are no guide to trim, since 2026 cars can have them too. Some 2026 cars have DiSus-C adaptive damping with road preview, which the launch cars do not, so match dampers by OE number. The 2026 car also offers privacy or clear rear glass, different mirror housings and a roof-mounted lidar, so match glass and trim by OE number, and order painted panels by the colour code on the car.

Before You Order: 7 Checks

  1. Confirm the car is the hatchback and not a Seal 06 EV or Seal 06 DM-i saloon or wagon before ordering any panel, glass or lamp.
  2. Match the OE number on the part you are replacing to the OE number on the listing.
  3. Read the build date on the identification plate before ordering a battery, charging part, motor or damper, since the 2 April 2026 update changed all four.
  4. Look under the front of the car for driveshafts before ordering any front-axle drive part, since only the 310 kW launch car has a front motor.
  5. Read the tyre size on the sidewall, 225/50 R18 or 235/45 R19, before ordering tyres or rims.
  6. Check the brake discs on the car rather than going by caliper colour, since red calipers appear on launch and 2026 cars alike.
  7. Order painted panels by the colour code on the car rather than by colour name.

Generations and Facelifts

The Seal 06 GT began as the Ocean-M concept, shown at the Beijing motor show in April 2024. The production car appeared at the Chengdu motor show in August 2024 and went on sale in China on 18 October 2024 as the hatchback of the Seal 06 family. At launch there were four versions. Two 160 kW rear-drive cars used a 59.52 kWh pack. A 165 kW rear-drive car used a 72.96 kWh pack. The 310 kW dual-motor car combined the larger pack with 19-inch wheels. The rear-drive cars ran on 225/50 R18 tyres.

On 7 June 2025 BYD launched the Seal 06 EV, a saloon on the same platform and wheelbase that is sold alongside the GT. Some parts under the floor are shared between the two, but the saloon has none of the GT's body panels.

Details of an updated GT emerged in December 2025, and the 2026 model went on sale on 2 April 2026. The body and dimensions stayed the same. Almost everything that powers the car changed: a second-generation Blade battery of 57.54 or 69.07 kWh with flash charging, single rear motors of 200 or 240 kW, and no all-wheel-drive version. Some trims gained DiSus-C adaptive damping with road preview. The update also brought a roof-mounted lidar on some cars, new colours, a column-mounted gear selector and a revised centre console. For parts, this means battery, charging, motor, damper and some cabin parts split at 2 April 2026, while the body panels carry across. The body has not had a facelift. Read the build date on the identification plate before ordering anything from the drivetrain or the dampers.

BYD Seal 06 GT Parts: Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make sure a part fits my Seal 06 GT?

Match the OE number. Every part on this site is listed under the OE number printed on the original part, and if the number on the part you are replacing matches the listing, the part fits. This matters on the Seal 06 GT because the 2026 update changed the battery, motors and dampers without changing the body, so two cars that look identical can need different parts. If the old part is missing or its number is unreadable, send a photo through the quote form and we will reply within 24 hours, usually sooner.

How do I tell a Seal 06 GT from a Seal 06 EV or Seal 06 DM-i?

Look at the back of the car. The GT is the only hatchback in the Seal 06 family. It is 4,630 mm long and has a lifting tailgate. The Seal 06 EV is a four-door saloon on the same 2,820 mm wheelbase, and the Seal 06 DM-i is a plug-in hybrid sold as a saloon and, from April 2026, as a wagon. The names are close enough to cause wrong orders, especially for panels, glass and lamps. Confirm the body first, then check each part by its OE number.

Will Seal 06 EV or Qin L EV parts fit the GT?

Some will, mainly under the floor. The GT, the Seal 06 EV and the Qin L EV all sit on e-Platform 3.0 Evo with a 2,820 mm wheelbase, so they share some running gear. Above the floor they are different cars. The Seal 06 EV and the Qin L EV are saloons with boot lids, while the GT is a hatchback, so panels, glass, lamps and closures do not cross over. A shared part still has to carry the same OE number, so compare the number on your old part with the listing before you order.

Which battery does my Seal 06 GT have?

That depends on the build date. Cars built before the 2 April 2026 update have a Blade pack of 59.52 kWh or 72.96 kWh. Cars built from the update onwards have a second-generation Blade pack of 57.54 kWh or 69.07 kWh, which charges much faster. The body did not change at the update, so the car's appearance tells you nothing about the pack. Read the build date on the identification plate, then match the pack and any charging or high-voltage part to the OE number on the old one.

Does the Seal 06 GT have a front motor?

Only one version does. The 310 kW all-wheel-drive car in the launch range pairs a 110 kW induction motor on the front axle with a 200 kW permanent-magnet motor at the rear. All the other launch cars, and every car built after the 2026 update, drive the rear wheels through a single motor. The front motor comes with its own driveshafts, mounts and cooling parts, which no other Seal 06 GT uses. Look under the front of the car for driveshafts before ordering any of these parts, and match them by OE number.

What do red brake calipers tell me?

Nothing reliable about the trim. Red calipers have been linked with the dual-motor launch car, but the 2026 car can also have red calipers, and caliper colour is offered as an option. The colour therefore does not prove that the car has a front motor or any particular brake. Check the drive layout by looking for front driveshafts and check the discs on the car. Then order calipers, pads and discs by the OE number on the parts you are replacing, and mention the colour you want when you ask for a quote.

Are the rear brake discs solid or ventilated?

Specification tables for the launch range list ventilated discs at the front and solid discs at the rear on every version, including the 310 kW car on 19-inch wheels. Chinese listings for the 2026 car also show a solid rear disc. Some descriptions say that 19-inch wheels mean a ventilated rear disc, but the sources we checked do not support this. Look at the rear disc on the car before ordering, and match discs, pads and calipers by OE number rather than by wheel size or power output.

What tyre sizes does the Seal 06 GT use?

It uses two sizes, 225/50 R18 and 235/45 R19. At launch the rear-drive cars ran 225/50 R18 and the 310 kW dual-motor car ran 235/45 R19. On the 2026 car both sizes appear, depending on trim, so the model year alone does not tell you which size is fitted. Read the size on the sidewall of the tyres already on the car before ordering tyres or rims, and order rims by the OE number on the wheel if you are replacing one.

Is the Seal 06 GT an 800-volt car?

Part of the range is. BYD uses a silicon-carbide drive system in the car. One Chinese specification source lists the 165 kW and 310 kW launch cars on an 800-volt platform and the 160 kW launch cars at 400 volts. The 2026 car then moved to BYD's flash-charging system. These systems differ by trim and by date, so never order a charge port, charging module or high-voltage wiring loom by the model name alone. Read the build date on the identification plate and match the part by OE number.

What changed with the 2026 model?

The 2026 model went on sale on 2 April 2026 with the same body and dimensions as before. It brought a second-generation Blade battery of 57.54 or 69.07 kWh with flash charging and single rear motors of 200 or 240 kW, and it dropped the all-wheel-drive version. DiSus-C adaptive damping with road preview, a roof-mounted lidar, new colours, a column-mounted gear selector and a revised centre console came in on some or all trims. Battery, motor, damper and some cabin parts split at that date, so read the build date on the identification plate before ordering.

Does the Seal 06 GT have adaptive suspension?

Some cars do. The 2026 range added DiSus-C, BYD's adaptive damping system. It reads the road ahead and adjusts the dampers before the car reaches a bump. Not every 2026 trim has it, and none of the launch cars do, although the launch dual-motor car was listed with adjustable damping. A DiSus-C damper and a conventional damper are different parts. Check whether the car has adaptive damping and when it was built, then order by the OE number on the old damper.

What routine parts does an electric Seal 06 GT need?

It needs fewer routine parts than a petrol car, but it still needs some. There is no engine, so there is no engine oil, oil filter or spark plug to replace. Brake fluid, coolant for the battery and motor circuits, the cabin air filter, wiper blades, tyres and brake pads all still wear or age, and the air-conditioning system works harder than on a petrol car. Order each item by the OE number on the old part. If a number is missing, ask through the quote form and we will reply within 24 hours, usually sooner.

Safety Recalls Affecting This Model

No recall has been issued against the Seal 06 GT. No campaign names this model, the car is sold in China only, and nothing in the Chinese registers reaches it, so no part on this page is superseded on recall grounds.

If you have seen reports of a recall against this car, check what they actually name. Complaints filed under the Seal 06 name about limited electric function are consumer complaints, not a campaign, and belong to this hatchback. A separate action from January 2026 in India names the Seal saloon, a different car on a different platform, and has nothing to do with this one. If a source does not specify which of these, treat it as unreliable and order parts on fitment, not on the recall claim.
