Cabin Air Filter for BYD Seal 06 DM-i, OE 12975841-00

This element fits a wide spread of BYD model lines, and filters that look alike can differ by a few mm in the frame. Work from the fitment table on this page rather than from the shape alone, matching your model line and build year. The packed size gives you a second check against the element you pull out. If your car sits close to a model change, send a photograph of the old part and its label on the quote route and we will confirm it for you.

Two lines are offered for this element. The Original/Genuine one is the BYD item held under OE 12975841-00 as BYD releases it. The Aftermarket one is produced by an independent supplier to suit the same application, and it is priced separately on this page. Both are supplied in new condition and both are matched to the same fitment table. Take the Original/Genuine line if you want what the vehicle maker itself supplies. Take the Aftermarket line if the equivalent fitment is what matters to you.

This element also carries the alternative reference HAD-8121211B alongside OE 12975841-00, so a filter printed with that first code is the same item here. The code is usually inked on the cardboard or plastic frame along one edge, and it can be faint once the element is dirty. If you cannot find either reference on yours, use the quote route on this page, send the code you can read with your car details, and we will match it against the fitment table.

The delivery time is 8 to 25 days, from order to door. Owners often order this alongside other service items, so if you want several lines on this page to land together, ask through the quote route before you place the order. The shipping cost for your country is shown on this page and confirmed at checkout before you pay. Before you order, check the number on your old part against OE 12975841-00.

The material is fabric, so this is a pleated media element rather than a rigid moulded part. That has one practical consequence worth knowing. A fabric element is not something to hose out and refit, because washing collapses the pleats and the frame. Handle it by the frame when you slide it into the housing, and check the airflow arrow on the element against the housing as you go.

It sits inside the car, which for an element of this kind means the cabin air housing rather than anywhere under the bonnet or beneath the floor. No left or right side applies to it, so there is no handed version to pick. Because it is an interior item, getting to it is usually trim work rather than spanner work. Nothing is stated about the access route on your particular model, so check your own handbook or ask your workshop before you start.
